The MET Gala (officially called the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit), took place on Monday night. The glitzy bash organised by Anna Wintour gave New York a taste of Japanese fashion this year. In 2017 the Met Gala honoured Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo as part of the “Art of the In-Between”.
We have compiled a SHORTLIST of our most striking looks from the MET Gala 2017.
Kylie Jenner was asked to have blonde hair again by Donatella Versace. We love Kylie as a blonde and this simple and understated STYLE keeps it modern.
Sarah Paulson wore a custom Prada dress to the Met Gala this year and looked every part the movie star with her chic and understated hair. We've done our research on HAIRSTYLIST Bridget Brager we love her work.
We love this hairstyle on Nicki Minaj. The hair was created by her hairstylist Tokyo Stylez. Tokyo is the master when it comes to the most natural looking lace front wigs. Tokyo Stylez is also the man responsible for Kylie JENNER'S ever changing locks. We're obsessed!
For us Rihanna is the undisputed queen of the MET Gala. We love everything about this look from the styling to the hair and makeup. Rihanna wore her hair in a sleek top knot with a fringe. Bravo Rihanna, our winner of the night.
Halle Berry's hair was effortless looking and oh so chic for the MET Gala 2017. Halle Berry's hairstylist Castillo didnt want to take away from the elements that made the dress amazing, so decided to pull the hair back into an elegant low bun with a crown at the top.

Tori's hair essentials - Number 5 - KEVIN.MURPHY SHIMMER.SHINE
I am obsessed with this product! This lightweight spray makes my hair look super healthy and the scent is amazing too. Light reflective technology from high-end skincare adds a brilliant shine to hair with no oily residue. It’s gold and glittery, what’s not to love?
KEVIN.MURPHY SHIMMER.SHINE is £22.00 on Malcolm Murphy Shop
Tori's hair essentials - Number 4 - KEVIN.MURPHY NIGHT.RIDER
KEVIN.MURPHY NIGHT.RIDER is my go-to product when I’m styling gents hair. This product is a matte texture paste with a firm hold. I love it because it provides a tough hold and a rough matte texture for short or choppy looks. This product has the advantage of being easy to get from the jar and sets on contact. It gives you a little time to work the look then it sets. For me I’m all about how a product smells, I think NIGHT.RIDER has a chocolate orange fragrance to it so it’s a winner for me.
KEVIN.MURPHY NIGHT.RIDER is £22.00 on Malcolm Murphy Shop
Tori's hair essentials - Number 3 - KEVIN.MURPHY SMOOTH.AGAIN
I put my hair through a lot of styling including heated styling tools. To combat the damage, I put my hair through daily I rely on KEVIN.MURPHY SMOOTH.AGAIN. This really is a wonderful product. It makes my hair feel smooth and full of moisture. Sometimes I use this before I blow dry my hair, it also has excellent heat protection.
KEVIN.MURPHY SMOOTH.AGAIN is £28.00 on Malcolm Murphy Shop
Tori's hair essentials - Number 2 - KEVIN.MURPHY BLONDE.ANGEL
I love blonde hair! Recently I dyed my hair brunette for a change and to give it a rest. When my hair was lighter I swore by the KEVIN.MURPHY BLONDE.ANGEL range. I would use the shampoo once a week when my hair looked yellowy. It's the only one that works for me I've tried the other cheaper ones. If you are going to have blonde hair you must look after it, and the BLONDE.ANGEL range is the best way to start.
KEVIN.MURPHY BLONDE.ANGEL WASH is £20.00 on Malcolm Murphy Shop
Tori's hair essentials - Number 1 - Cloud Nine Original Wand
In the salon, I am famous for my love of big hair, the bigger the better. All most every day I will use the Cloud Nine Original Wand to give my hair a big, glamorous curl. With a little practice, it becomes so easy to use, and curls while it smooth's. Its tapered and super smooth barrel allows me to create many looks, ranging from tight curls to soft tousled waves and much more.
Cloud Nine Original Wand is £125.00 on Malcolm Murphy Shop
